Title: Product Analyst

Compensation: This is an hourly, contract role at $28.85 / hour, with an annual budget of up to $60,000.

The Work To Be Done
- Partner with Product to inform feature development and behavioral interventions through data analysis.
- Design hypotheses, run experiments, and analyze results to support iterative product improvements.
- Conduct exploratory and statistical analyses to uncover user behavior patterns, performance trends, and optimization opportunities.
- Build and maintain dashboards in Mixpanel to track user behavior and product performance.
- Define and validate Mixpanel event tracking requirements; review application code to troubleshoot tracking issues.
- Write SQL queries to extract and analyze data from internal databases and Snowflake.
Develop Python scripts for complex data processing, automation, and statistical analysis.
- Build and maintain Fresh Tri’s Snowflake data warehouse, including integrating new data sources and optimizing schemas.
- Create and maintain visualizations in Snowflake or other BI tools to communicate insights across teams.
- Collaborate with Engineering to ensure data quality and seamless integration across systems.
- Conduct qualitative user research (e.g., interviews) to complement quantitative findings.
- Support academic and business reporting with actionable insights and recommendations.
- Prepare methods and results sections for research manuscripts.
- Support outcome reporting and perform advanced statistical testing for ad hoc requests.
- Lead and contribute to grant-funded projects and applications.
- Design and execute statistical analysis plans aligned with research and business goals.
- Merge and clean data in statistical software for analysis.
- Conduct literature reviews and support business analysis for existing clients and in support of commercial efforts.
Desired Background And Experience
- 2+ years of experience in a Product Analyst, Growth Analyst, Data Analyst, or related role supporting digital product development.
- Strong working knowledge of Mixpanel, including dashboard creation, event taxonomy, and tracking validation.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience querying both structured and unstructured data.
- Experience writing Python for data manipulation, analysis, or automation.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, including managing data pipelines, adding data sources, and maintaining visualizations.
- Understanding of statistical analysis, including experiment design, significance testing, and regression modeling.
- Comfort reading and understanding application code to troubleshoot analytics issues (e.g., instrumentation/debugging Mixpanel tracking).
- Experience with Google Analytics, A/B testing frameworks, and product experimentation is a plus.
- A BA/BS degree in a technical, quantitative, or behavioral science field is preferred.
- Strong communication skills—you can distill complex analyses into clear, actionable insights for a non-technical audience.
